Futures saw lower trade through the overnight session as forecasts improved with less excessive heat a little bit more rain coverage.Outside markets as of 7:15 CT: DOW up 125 at 35,556, S&P up 25.75 at 4,590, crude down a nickel at $80.04, and the U.S.Rhine river levels in Germany have rebounded with recent rains, enabling normal shipping in some areas but some areas are still too shallow to sail fully loaded.Crude oil is working on its 5 th week of stronger markets during an environment where investors feel optimistic about demand and supply cuts.Putin has said he is ready to negotiate with Ukraine but that Ukraine is refusing to join him. Reuters reports that African leaders are urging President Putin to move towards a peace plan and end the war in Ukraine and renew the export deal for grain out of Ukraine.Grain markets drift lower this morning as futures started the week with strong upside but that momentum has slowed to end the week.
